Dimitra Georgana

Dimitra Georgana is working on the European relations among the European institutions, NGOs, research and academic centers and the EILST. She is managing the PR of the EILST in Brussels. Since May 2008, Dimitra is coordinating the Initiative of the EILST for the establishment of a European Climate Change Center for the Southeast Europe and the Mediterranean.

Dimitra holds a Master degree in European Studies by the Catholic university of Louvain, Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, and a first degree by the National university of Athens "Kapodistriakon", Athens, Greece. She has been a trainee by the EPP-ED Press and Communications Service, European Parliament, and at the Internal Market/ Horizontal Issues, State Aid department of the Economic Policy Unit of the Greek Permanent Representation to the European Union in Belgium.

She speaks Greek, English, French and Chinese.

Her publications include:

-"The interaction between the European Social Dialogue and the social dialogue in Hellas (Greece) and in Cyprus with regard to the public sector." (Thesis)

-"Have the European Union and Russia interests in order to find a solution regarding the problem of Transnistria? What diplomatic means are the most appropriate so as Brussels and Russia could result in accordance?"
