"E-learning as a new way of education in Higher Εducation"
On Wendsday 4th of April, European Institute of Law, Science and Technology, in co-operation with Microsoft Hellas, and Mr Kiriakos Kouveliotis professor of Uninettuno University, organizing an education event which aims to promote the New technologies in Higher Education.
The event is also held by the student's party of DAP-NDFK, from the Technical Educational Institute of Patras (Department of Informatics and Mass Media).
Τhe president of EUILST Mrs Dionysia - Theodora Avgerinopoulou, will provide certificate of attendance.
Western Greece, and most specifically Ancient Olympia and Pyrgos in the Ilia Prefecture, are suffering severe floods caused by heavy rains and as a result of the devastating wildfires of 2007. Thousands of people’s houses and enterprises are totally destroyed; they have no place to go and they lack basics.
We call for your help; all goods are most welcome. Whoever may offer anything, please do contact our Institute.
Electric appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, ovens etc.), furniture, clothing, shoes, mattresses, household goods, food, anything could help.

In an honorary ceremony that took place at the new Congress Hall at the premises of the International Olympic Academy, in Ancient Olympia, “Green Star” Award winner for her pro bono work on environmental emergencies, Ms. Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou, Member of the Hellenic Parliament, and Director of the European Institute of Law, Science and Technology (EILST), dedicated her award to the people of her hometown, Zacharo, and the Prefecture of Ilia, Greece. Ms. Avgerinopoulou serves as the Deputy Head of the Environmental Policy Sector of the New Democracy Party.

Conference "Sustainable Development a challenge for European Research" – Brussels, 26 – 28 May 2009

The Research DG is seeking to gather scientists, industry, civil society and R&D policy-makers to confront their views and stakes regarding what R&D can and cannot do for sustainability. The 'ECOWEEK 2009 Empowering Youth: Ecology + Leadership + Architecture' conference and interdisciplinary workshops in Athens, Greece, gives the opportunity to young professionals and graduate students to work side by side with known architects, designers, and engineers from Greece and abroad, and to learn from them the principles and implementation of ecological building and sustainable design.
The conference is open to young architects, designers and landscape architects and professionals of other disciplines, and graduate students from Greece and abroad. The conference will include public lectures and screening of documentaries open and free to the general public. The language of the conference: English.
