The European Institute of Law, Science and Technology (EILST) is a non-for-profit, research organization that seeks to promote scientific research for the betterment of society and to improve international and national laws and policies through more effective integration of existing science and technology.
First and foremost, the EILST researchers focus their work on the fields of environmental protection, public health, biotechnology and research in genetics, space, information technology, telecommunications, and intellectual property.
The EILST team also focuses on the interaction between social sciences and law and policy, as well as on the gender and developmental aspects of the aforementioned fields.
During the last three years, the EILST teams have offered extensive pro bono work regarding assistance to local communities in cases of natural disasters.
